Isabelle is still sleeping with us. I had always wanted to train her to sleep in her own room, but alas the husband is always travelling and the toddler has been sick often and so she bunks in with me...(1) she's my one & only companion, and she brings me comfort as much as I am to her. She screams for me when I am out of sight. And I cant bear to be out of the room for long when it's just us (i.e. I only watch tv in the hall when the husband is home!) (2) I'm too tired after a hard day's work and I'm worried I cant hear her if she cries while sleeping in her own room (3) Isabelle has been sick ever so often and is prone to bronchitis. I'm almost becoming an expert in foretelling when her cough is setting in just from the rhythm of her breathing!
And so when the husband is home, we continue to all sleep in one room. Usually we pull in the single mattress over and either the husband or toddler sleeps on it. But then our room is rather small, that leaves us no space to open the wardrobe. And so 2 days ago...we decided to all bunk in 1 bed. Let;s just say we've moved from "Modified H" to "Modified E"!
A long time ago, when Isabelle was smaller...we would typically start sleeping in a "lil" position (i.e. the husband, baby, me) and in the middle of the night....it would become "l-l" - Modified H!
Now...we still start with "lil" position, but then what happens in the middle of the night? Well the toddler has grown much taller...i've been kicked out of bed...and so this is the position we end up in...

Modified E!!!! the husband is left most, the toddler is the shorter horizontal...and i'm right at the bottom....with my legs hanging out of bed! I've had a terrible sleep last night and I'm seriously contemplating sleeping on the sofa tonight!
