Mid Week Musings

Its coming to a week now since D left, and surprisingly I have been coping fine. Work has definitely kept me very very busy. Its the forecasting period, and for some reason, there has been many ad hoc stuff to do at work. By the time i leave office at 7, reach home by 745, have dinner and all, there is only about half an hour of play & reading time with Isabelle, then its the milk feed followed by bed time. It's a good thing Isabelle has gotten used to this routine, almost always when I put her to bed, she will quietly lie down, calm & serene, and then curl up towards me for a hug and close her eyes. This gives me a lot of comfort indeed, I feel bliss and peace!

Mid week musings, cos there are certain things I notice about Isabelle lately.

1. Isabelle is afraid!!! Hahaha...funny rite. Recently I noticed that Isabelle gets a little nervous in a certain section of the Barney Everyone Is Special video. This particular part shows some kids dressed up & acting as robots, singing a song. Next, I noticed Isabelle cries at a certain segment of the Leapfrog video. She cries at the part which features Og (an ugly elf). And my maid told me recently Isabelle is afraid of her own shadow...she cries out 'urrghghghg' to see her shadow. Amusing indeed :)

2. Isabelle loves playing with her shape sorter lately. However, she also discovered that her little hands could go through the small shape cuts. Unfortunately, she does not really know how to get her hands out of them. She pulls, struggles until her hands are red...and then waves her hands (with the shape sorter still stuck within her hands) in distress, cries out for help, looks angry. Now my baby, didn't mummy tell you not to put your hands through? Just the shapes my baby, not your hands!

Some photos to complete my blog for today. Not bad, I'm getting better at taking self-photos:)
