11 months

Ooppss!!!! It's been a month since I blogged about Isabelle. Time flies, Isabelle has turned 11 months, and I know in a flash she will be 1 year old.

The last month has been full of ups and downs, especially in her meal times. We can't seem to tell what Isabelle wants or likes to eat, its like a trial and error business. Sometimes her appetite is extremely good, and she just gorges down anything and everything we give, and keeps asking for more. Ok, this is extremely rare occurence, and we just take this chance to let her eat as much as possible. Most times, she is the fussy eater, opening her mouth just wide enough to take a small sip, bowing her head to face the ground, staring into space and blinking her eyes (as if focusing hard to ignore the spoon waving in front of her), and well if we keep on insisting, she cries, throws a tantrum. Yea, this is our fussy eater. Still, we have not given up on feeding her and introducing new food, even if it can take hours (yea, till I am almost loosing my appetite!). Just in case I forget, some new food introduced to her recently include kiwi, grape, tofu, baked beans.

Development wise, Isabelle is still learning to walk. She can actually take a few steps on her own, but lacks the confidence for fear of falling. Whenever she sense her lost of balance, she would quickly sit down, and start crawling (obviously, she figured that crawling is much safer though slower for her). We should have brought her to the Fidgets earlier, this indoor playground at Turf City, its free for babies below 1 year old but most of all its all nicely padded and allows Isabelle to move about freely and safely too. Isabelle loved the playground so much, but most important of all I saw her take a few more steps than usual here, maybe she was distracted and did not notice herself taking those steps, Or she felt safe whenever she fell and landed on the padded foam mats. Oh well, we'll definitely be here more often now.

Isabelle is also getting used to a daily routine now, one of which includes receiving phone calls from mummy (aka ME!) at noon and 5pm everyday. Whenever I speak to her, she would definitely call out Ma Ma, before continuing with her play or reading (well, flipping books only for now) or screaming. It really melts my heart to hear those sweet words from her lovely sweet voice. And she will actually kiss the phone when i say give Ma Ma a kiss kiss please. What a sweatie :)

Our dearest baby is growing up so fast! How I wish time could come to a standstill sometimes, and just let me savour in all these days again & again. Still, I want to see her grow up, hear her talk...and I wonder what sweet words she will say to us...hahah!
