The things she says

It's quite common to hear Isabelle talking to herself. Mostly she reminds herself of things I say to her which is rather interesting.

Eg as I drive into our carpark yesterday
I: later must wait for mummy. Cannot walk on the road. A lot of cars. Must be careful.
2 minutes later when I had parked the car
I: mummy are you ready? Wait for mummy ok? Be careful
And when I open the passenger seat door to help her out
I: must hold mummy's hand, ok?
Mummy, have cars? Need to be careful, ok?

Either I repeat myself too many times or she loves repeating everything I say!

During dinner;
I: must eat quickly. Not slow, ok?
Must chew. Not mmmm mmmmm like that ( showing me a stuffed mouth look)
Me: yes, chew your food and finish your meal quickly alright
I: after eat then can drink water.
    Cannot drink water and eat
Me: yup that's right
I: after eat quickly can eat sweets ok?
Me: (silent pretending I did not hear that)
I: and after sweets will have some more sweets ok?
Me : ( still silent and almost bursting out now cos no there won't be any sweets
dear)

One day, I accidentally knocked my head while getting into the car
Me: ouch, mummy knocked her head
I: mummy are u alright?
Me: yea
I: mummy are u alright? Your head? ( in a tone louder and a pitch higher)
Hmm... Maybe she thought I din know that she was asking about my head
Me: yea it's a bit painful but my head is alright
I: ok you are well now

I n the car one day
I:Saturday Sunday papa sit there ( pointing to driver seat), mummy sit here ( pointing to the seat beside her)
Go to school mummy sit there (pointing to driver seat) Isabelle sit on my own
It's great to know Isabelle has settled herself into a routine. She used to cry every Monday to realize I would not be able to sit at the back seat with her
