At bedtime on Sunday night
I: mummy the lions tigers giraffes are coming. Let's hide (covering the blanket over our heads)
After some silence
I: mummy are u afraid of lions tigers & giraffes?
Me: yea
I: I hug you ok?
I smile with delight and then ask her
Me: Isabelle are u afraid of lions tigers & giraffes
I: yes
Me: let mummy give you a big hug
I: ok thank you Very much mummy
I was stumped for a few seconds. It feels like Isabelle has grown up so much. And I almost feel bad for not saying thank you when she gave me a hug
